Eek A Mouse Mouseketeer on LP

Eek-A-Mouse (born Ripton Joseph Hylton) was one of the most unique talents to emerge from the Jamaican reggae scene in the 1980s. The Mouse's inimitable vocal flow combines an unconventional melodic approach filled with rhythm and humor. His unmistakable half-singing, half-deejaying (rapping) style inspired the term "singjay." Produced by Henry "Junjo" Lawes and featuring backing from the Hi Times Band and The Roots Radics, his 1984 masterpiece Mouseketeer is chock-full of digital reggae classics like "Wild Like a Tiger," Star, Daily News or Gleaner," "Atlantis Lover," "Palaving," "Treason," "Don't Run and Cry" and the telling "How I Got My Name."
