Kings Of Convenience Versus Vinyl LP

For over a decade music lovers have been treated to the delicate beauty of Norwegian indie-pop minimalists Kings Of Convenience aka Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambek Bøe. Described as "the Daft Punk of acoustic music" (Drowned In Sound) and Nick Drake meets Belle and Sebastian, the duo's 2001 debut Quiet Is The New Loud is a modern classic and torchbearer of the new acoustic movement.

Kings of Conveniences' sterling debut and compelling follow-up releases Versus (2001) and Riot On An Empty Street (2004) are being made available on vinyl in April 2016 courtesy of Astralwerks, marking the first North American pressings of these timeless albums.

Versus is an excellent album of remakes, remixes, and collaborations released six months after Kings Of Convenience's debut. Most of the material may come from Quiet Is The New Loud, but remixers/collaborators like Röyksopp, Fourtet, Riton, Erot, Andy Votel, Ladytron and Alfie elevate the tracks and then some making Versus as essential as anything in the band's catalog.
