REGA Apollo CD Player

Clear Sound, Smooth Playback, Wolfson DAC, and Custom Circuitry: Rega Apollo  "Offer[s] So Much Music for So Little Money," Exposes Profound Details Embedded in Your Discs

Rega hi-fi components continue to draw exemplary reviews from across the board. Take the Apollo CD player, for instance, which has drawn raves from the likes of Stereophile and What Hi-Fi?. Housed in an aluminum half-width case that matches that of the Rega Brio amplifier and anchored by a custom chipset featuring a Wolfson WM8742 DAC, it gives you Rega's famed analog-like warmth while preserving the detail and dynamics that allow recorded music to sound believable.

Trust us: An in-home audition is in order. With its superb cohesiveness and excellent instrumental separation, Apollo sets the standard against which all other CD players at this price level are measured.

"[Few] other audio components of my experience, and no other contemporary CD players, offer so much music for so little money"
– Art Dudley, Stereophile, Class B Recommended Product

Apollo also uses digital power supplies feeding the CD processor, optical block, and laser diode amplifier. This design is achieved by employing the same high-performance, low-noise power supplies found in the same location within Rega's reference CD player. The result: Vastly improved playability, error correction, and inner-core processing of the digital CD spinner.

Testifying on behalf of its excellent performance, Apollo's discrete output amplifier has a THD of 0.0025%. A dedicated display micro-processor controls the user interface and eases the workload on the main control processors, yielding a significant improvement in the control code stability, usability, and speed. Last but not least, a dedicated remote means you can orchestrate playback from the comfort of your chair.

"This player has a sonic brilliance-a clarity of detail and of musical line, allied with a spatially up-front presentation-that enhances musical engagement."
– Art Dudley, Stereophile
