1972's Duane and Gregg Allman is essentially a demo recording of the intended second album from Butch Trucks (drums), David Brown (bass) and Scott Boyer's (guitar) Tallahassee, FL-based folk rock project 31st of February.
 
Recorded in 1968, Duane and Gregg began performing with the group after the release of their eponymous debut and it features the single "Morning Dew," an early version of the Allman Brothers Band's "Melissa," and "Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out" which would be rerecorded for Derek and the Dominos' Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs album.
