Marking a new sound for the season, Christmas Eve and Other Stories, the 1996 debut Lava/Atlantic release from the New York City based Trans-Siberian Orchestra, joined top talent from the hard rock world with those from the Broadway musical and classical arenas - effectively combining the impact of a 60-piece orchestra and a full chorus with the edge of a rock band.
 
Featuring the best-selling "Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24," the triple platinum affair was the first album in the group's Christmas trilogy followed by The Christmas Attic (1998) and The Lost Christmas Eve (2004).
